About
Welcome to the delightful world of Sun Break Cafe, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Auburn, WA. This charming cafe, located at 22 A St SW #5303, is a culinary haven for breakfast and brunch enthusiasts alike. With a phone line ready to connect hungry patrons at +1 253-939-5225, it’s time to dive deep into what makes this cafe a must-visit.
Sun Break Cafe has garnered rave reviews from dedicated customers who appreciate its huge portions and delicious food. Amanda Soushek, a satisfied diner, encapsulated the spirit of the cafe perfectly, noting the friendly staff and extensive menu options that cater to both vegetarians and traditional breakfast lovers. Everything here is fresh and made-to-order, ensuring that each dish is a delightful experience for the palate.
One cannot visit without indulging in the famed country fried steak, as highlighted by Serey Kim, who declared it a favorite during her brunch experience. And let’s not forget the banana bread—a luscious treat that’s so good, you might just end up taking a loaf home, as several patrons have discovered.
However, there’s a bit of a humorous side to Sun Break Cafe that frequent diners are quick to share. As Scott Harm aptly pointed out, the portions are massive. Ordering a half-size might sound like a wise option, but even then, you may find yourself with leftovers worthy of a doggie bag. Lynn T and Chris Benjamin both echo this sentiment, suggesting new visitors take a cue from the surrounding plates before making their selections, as it can be a bit overwhelming.
But don’t let the potential wait deter you; the line might be long, but it moves swiftly, and the end result is undeniably worth it. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great way to start your day amidst the charm of Auburn.
So whether you’re craving a hearty breakfast plate or looking to share an extravagant brunch with friends, Sun Break Cafe is the place to be. With its wholesome food, generous portions, and a cozy vibe, it promises an experience that leaves you looking forward to your next visit.
“ HUGE portions, delicious food, big menu, and friendly staff! This place is the best breakfast place in Auburn. Everything there is absolutely delicious, fresh, and made-to-order. They have vegetarian options, and a decent sized menu for any cravings! I’ve only been here for the breakfast many times, but I’ve seen their huge lunch sandwiches as well and can’t wait to try them! ”
“ Amazing cafe with delicious brunch! A few of us ordered several large dishes to share and my favorite was the country fried steak! The banana bread is to die for. I end up ordering a loaf to take home. ”
“ There are only two problems with this place. The first is that the owner Bruce still has not opened a second location. Opened for breakfast and lunch crowds, the place is really popular. Beware it's a come and stand in line place and the line is typically frighteningly long, but it typically moves at a very reasonable rate. So stick it out, it's worth it. The second problem is the portions are REALLY large and even at the "half size" order chances are you will either leave a big ass pike of hash browns behind or you will be pack mule'ing them home. I strongly recommend on your first visit to look around at plates around you prior to ordering and d then 'take charge" and tell your server the percentage of potatoes you really want. Assuming you you don't want a a month's worth of starch in a convenient one day package. It's almost overwhelming ”
“ Worth it!!! This place is amazing, huge portions, friendly staff. It’s hidden in the middle of auburn, surrounded by huge condos, you’d miss it if you weren’t paying attention. Everything I’ve had here is absolutely delicious. The banana bread you will crave. ”
“ Great place for breakfast! Order a half size unless you want to take most of your breakfast home! Even with ordering half sizes we had a doggie bag. Banana bread is delicious! There is usually a line here but it moves quickly. There's also an adorable country store to peak in at too. Great way to start your day! ”
“ We missed breakfast but lunch was so good. I got 1/2 of a Rubin sandwich and it was huge!!! The break was thick and homemade. I got a bowl of the Autumn Harvest soup and it was full of veggies. I loved the coconut milk and squash. It was perfect for a rainy day! The staff was super nice, helpful and friendly! ”
“ Friendly staff and delicious sandwiches! This was my first time here so I didn't know about their breakfast/lunch hours. I was really looking forward to trying their breakfast dishes but I came in around noon, so I ended up getting a sandwich. I forgot the name of the sandwich but it was the crispiest and most buttery croissant sandwich with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. It was loaded and so good! The best sandwich I've ever had in a long time. I'll have to make another visit to try their breakfast menu. Great little spot for a quick bite to eat! ”
“ Amazing food! Very large portions. I got the half order of the scramble and still couldn't finish it! Next time I'll try the pancakes that are larger than the plate! They looked amazing! ”
